A 600sec glimpse at AKB48

Popular girl idol group, AKB48, has just announced that they will be starring in a new television show for NTV titled “AKB600sec.“ As the name implies, each episode will only run for ten short minutes and will focus on a singular member of the group. The show will follow around the chosen idol in her normal daily activities to the stage, studio, and even shopping.
The show is currently scheduled to run Monday through Thursday from July 5th until July 29th, covering sixteen different girls from AKB48. It has not yet been announced which girls will be participating in the show.
Ten minutes not seem like enough time? Luckily, fans will be able to purchase the uncut ninety minute version of the show on a micro SD card through the NTV website each day.
AKB48 has been shattering girl group sales records over the past several months, each release topping their previous. Their most recent single, “Ponytail to ShuShu,” was the highest selling girl group single in the past ten years. “AKB600sec.” is sure to boost their already tremendous popularity, just in time for their August single release.
