Hip-hop group RIP SLYME has been selected to provide the theme to the new Fuji TV drama “Joker – Yurusarezaru sousakan.”  The new song is titled “SCAR” and in celebration of the drama’s release, the drama sized version of the song will be available for free on Chaku-Uta cell downloads for ten hours on July 27th.

The song was already released in a 45 second long ‘ringtone size’ on Chaku-Uta downloads.  In just 10 days time it has already surpassed 25,000 downloads.  The free drama version will almost double the length of the clip to about 85 seconds.

“SCAR” will be a Fuji TV exclusive Chaku-Uta clip.  It will only be available through them and this is the first time they have done something like this for one of their dramas.  Hopefully the positive response will be enough to encourage them to continue releases like this in the future!

RIP SLYME will also include “SCAR” on their upcoming release of “Good Times” which is a best album that will collect the past decade of RIP SLYME releases.  The best album is due out at the beginning of August, so this Fuji TV promotion also helps to promote their album release.
