A private showing of Studio Ghibli's new film "Karigurashi no Arrietty (The Borrower Arrietty) was held on July 1st in Tokyo. �Shida Mirai, Kamiki Ryunosuke, Yonabayashi Hiromasa (director), and Suzuki Toshio (producer) appeared at the private showing.

Shida Mirai plays Arrietty, and she said, "I have grown up watching films of Ghibli, so I'm happy to be a part of this."

The producer Suzuki said, "Arrietty is just a little bit stubborn. �When I first met Mirai-chan, I thought she seemed like Arrietty, like she wouldn't listen to her daddy. �That is why we picked her."

Kamiki said, "I heard that the director Yonebayashi is the model for Kaonashi from 'Spirited away'. �After I heard that, whenever I look at him, I only see Kaonashi."

Cecile Corbel who sang the theme song for the movie also showed up, and presented her beautiful song to the audience.

"Karigurashi no Arrietty" will be open at theaters on July 17th.
