AKB48 to sing theme song for upcoming Korean movie ‘TSUNAMI’

It has been recently announced that AKB48 will sing a theme song, Anata ga itekuretakara, for the upcoming Korean movie TSUNAMI, which will be in theaters on September 25th.

TSUNAMI was released in Korea in 2009, and it was a big hit movie that pulled in 11,500,000 moviegoers.

TSUNAMI will be released as a “Ultra Japanese dubbed version”, which is different from regular dubbed version because it uses the same translator for the caption and dubbing.  This is done to prevent the annoying differences between the  subtitle version and dubbed version.

Anyway, the theme song is one of the tracks from AKB48’s album, SET LIST ~THE GREATEST SONGS~complete edition, which was released on July 14th, and this is the first time that AKB48 has sung for a non-Japanese movie.

Check out the PV for the song after the jump.
