Popular rock band,�UVERworld, held an event on August 29th at Chiba's Makuhari Messe for opening celebrations for the upcoming "Gekijyouban Kidou Senshi Gundam 00" film.� Although the film formally comes out on September 18th, the band was eager to show off their first live performance of their theme song "Qualia."� Band member TAKUYA? said at the event, "Qualia comes from my heart, so I definitely want you all to enjoy it in theaters on September 18th."

The event had two performances with 12,000 fans in attendance.� It was a very special opening, especially since this movie will be the first time a full Gundam film has been released in theaters in 19 years.� UVERworld did various performances for the second half of the event.� The band started off with their new single "Qualia" before going into the movie image song "CHANGE."� They also performed their older theme for the Gundam 00 television anime, "Hakanaku mo Towa no Kanashi."

"Qualia" will be officially released on September 15th.�� UVERworld is also preparing for their first Tokyo Dome live show, "UVERworld LAST TOUR FINAL at TOKYO DOME," on November 27th.
