The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (MAFF) has been holding a campaign called "Mezamashi Gohan Campaign" to spread rice-based Japanese style breakfast.

For this campaign, many celebrities, such as Yuka, Matsuura Aya, Kitano Kii, and Ishikawa Ryo, have been chosen as an image character, and now, MAFF has chosen AKB48 as its new image character.

Nine girls from AKB48 show up in the CM: Ishida Haruka, Iwasa Misaki, Komori Mika, Sato Amina, Sato Sumire, Nitou Moeno, Fujie Reina, Maeda Atsuko, and Maeda Ami.
