Directors Inudo Isshin and Higuchi Shinji had announced in June that they be collaborating for the film adaption of �Nobou no Shiro� starring Nomura Mansai (44). It was however recently announced that Eikura Nana (22), who has never appeared in a jidaigeki, will play the heroine.

�Nobou no Shiro� will cast Nomura as Nagachika Narita a.k.a. �Nobou-sama�, a military commander during the Sengoku era. He�s famous for his victory against Hideyoshi Toyotomi during an attack on Oshi Castle.

Nobou-sama only had 500 people fight the massive army of 20,000 under Hideyoshi. Eikura on the other hand will play the role of Kaihime, the daughter of Narita clan�s heir, Narita Ujinaga. Kaihime, even though she�s a woman, was a skilled warrior and is critical regarding the defense of Oshi Castle. Because of her role�s fierce persona, Eikura will have to undergo training her skills in horseback riding and aikido.



�Nobou no Shiro� is expected to open next year.
