Fujiwara Tatsuya to become a 25-year-old grandfather
Actor Fujiwara Tatsuya will be taking his first ever role in a TV comedy series for ‘Ojiichan wa 25 Sai’.
Fujiwara will play the role of a man who got involved in an accident on a snowy mountain 46 years ago. His body was completely preserved, and was discovered in the present day. Despite being 71 years old, he still has the appearance and personality of a 25-year old man. He then learns that his old home in Oshiage, Tokyo now houses his son, who is 52-years-old and already has two children of his own – a 25 year old son and a 20 year old daughter.
Being stuck in deep slumber in the deep snowy mountain,Fujiwara’s character knows nothing about what has happened in the past 46 years, so things such as mobile phones, and the concept of hikkomori (social withdrawal), are completely new to him, strange even.
‘Ojiichan wa 25 sai’ will have a short run on TBS starting on November 15th, and the show will end on the 25th. It will air every Mondays through Thursdays at 11:50 pm.
