Higashiyama Noriyuki to star in “Ogawa no Hotori” film
Shonentai’s Higashiyama Noriyuki (43) will play the role of a Samurai in a new movie titled, “Ogawa no Hotori”. It is directed by Shinohara Tetsuo, who has also worked with Higashiyama before in an award-winning film “Yamazakura”
The film “Ogawa no Hotori”, like “Yamazakura”, is based on a story by Fujisawa Shuhei . Higashiyama will be playing the part of a samurai in the Unasaka clan – a fictional clan that has appeared in most of Fujisawa’s work. Higashiyama will undergo rigorous training before filming the climax of the movie.
The movie is expected to open in summer 2011. Cast members include Katsuji Ryo, Kataoka Ainosuke, Ono Machiko, Matsubara Chieko, Sasano Takasi, Nishioka Tokuma and Fuji Tatsuya.
