Warner Music Japan has announced that popular American rock band, Linkin Park will be contributing a theme song for Bandai Namco's arcade game "Kidou Senshi Gundam EXTREME VS."

The theme song used for the video game is titled "The Catalyst." This is the first time that a video game from the Gundam series will have a song featured by an artist who isn't Japanese. However, Linkin Park rapper Mike "Kenji" Shinoda is of Japanese descent (Father - Japanese, Mother - Russian).

A special limited edition of their album "A Thousand Suns" will be released on November 24th. It's tentatively titled the Gunpla 30th Anniversary Edition and will include a special Linkin Park edition Gundam plastic model kit. (Gunpla = Gundam plastic model)
