The film "PATISSERIE Coin de rue" (?????????) starring Eguchi Yosuke and Aoi Yu is reportedly in talks for an American remake.

Currently in theaters, "PATISSERIE Coin de rue" is the heartwarming story of a legendary patisserie (Eguchi) and the young daughter of a cake shop owner (Aoi), who overcome life's difficulties while working at the bakery "Coin de rue".

The film received attention earlier in February, when it won the Best East Meets West Cinema Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. It's already been decided that the film will be released overseas in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.

According to sources, "PATISSERIE Coin de rue" has received multiple offers from abroad. Among them, an offer for an American remake may already be underway.
