It’s been announced that manga series “Wild 7” will get a live-action adaptation starring Eita!

“Wild 7” was a hugely popular manga that was serialized from 1969 to 1979 in ‘Weekly Shonen King‘. The story centers around ‘Wild 7′, a group of seven ex-cons turned cops who prosecute evildoers with evil acts of their own. The ‘heroes’ ride bikes, break laws, and often resort to questionable means in order to punish criminals, a far cry from conventional manga protagonists. But readers were mesmerized by the fresh spin on law enforcement, and its fast-paced action scenes.

In the movie, Eita will play the main character, ‘Hiba Dairoku‘. Though Dairoku is the youngest member, he’s the leader of the septet. Intriguingly, Eita will have to 180-degree image transformation, as his rough-and-tumble character contrasts with Eita’s relatively gentle look.

Fans were also surprised to learn that Eita owned a motorcycle licence, as it was revealed that one of the requirements for casting was the actor’s ability to ride bikes.

Although Eita lost his father recently, he is expected to start filming for “Wild 7” at the end of March.
