It was reported that Mizushima Hiro has been appointed the editor in chief of new lifestyle magazine, "GLOBAL WORK", which will release their first issue on March 31st.
"GLOBAL WORK" will bepublishedby POINT INC., which owns several fashion brands, and the magazine is made with the thought, "Enjoy thecomfortablelifestyle through fashion." They target people in 20s to 30s, and it will be released semi-annually (in March/September).
According to POINT INC., the reason why they offered Mizushima the EIC position is that Mizushima is in the same generation of their targets, and that he has an acute sensitivity. They also appointed Saito Kazuhiro, who has been involved in many magazines, such as "VOGUE NIPPON", "GQ JAPAN", and "BRUTUS", as the editorial advisor, and Fujimoto Yasushi as the art director.
Mizushima commented, "At first, I hesitated to start a new magazine in this situation, however, after the many times of editorial meetings with numerous creators, I thought of the possibility to send out our new sense of value and message to people. If it could lead up to people's brightness, positiveness, or power for their future even a little bit, it would be verypositive for us."
