Himuro Kyosuke to hold charity live at Tokyo Dome with BOΦWY songs

Rock singer, Himuro Kyosuke announced that he would be holding a charity live on June 11th at the Tokyo Dome with a set list of all BOΦWY songs.  This will mark the first time for Himuro to perform all of BOΦWY’s songs at his live after the band’s disbandment back in 1988.  It will include some songs in which Himuro hasn’t performed in 23 years.

At first, his live was planned as his 50 years old anniversary live, however, due to the Great Tohoku Kanto Earthquake, he changed the contents of the live to the charity one “KYOSUKE HIMURO GIG at TOKYO DOME ‘We Are Down But Never Give Up!!’

BOΦWY was formed in 1981 with Himuro (Vo), Hotei Tomoyasu (G), Takahashi Makoto (Dr), and Matsui Tsunematsu (B), and they debuted as major with album “MORAL” in 1982.  BOΦWY’s popularity was extremely high, and even after their disbandment in 1988, their songs are still very popular.

The charity live will be held under minimum electricity consumption as much as possible, and all the profit will be donated for the disaster relief.
