Jang Geun Suk is “scared” of his popularity in Japan?

On June 28th, Korean actor and singer Jang Geun Suk held an event for his official photo album, “The Romance JPLUS PHOTOGRAPH” , where he revealed his thoughts about his sudden popularity in Japan.
The day before the event, approximately 1,000 fans went to welcome Jang Geun Suk’s arrival at the airport. “I was honestly worried that there might be an accident within the crowd because there were so many people there to greet me,” he said, expressing concern for the fans present.
He continued, “I kept on doing things I wasn’t supposed to do, so I was often scolded by the staff. Even yesterday, I was thinking of taking a walk right outside of the hotel but the special police followed me around.”
“Honestly, it’s pretty scary. It just happened so fast; I gained a lot of fans in such a short amount of time,” he said about his new popularity in Japan.

A special exhibit, titled “Jang Geuk Exhibit: Mou Hitotsu no J PLUS“, opened today at SOGO Yokohama, and will be open until July 27th (when his photobook officially hits stores). When asked about his first photobook, Jang commented, “More than posing to just look cool, I wanted to show how I usually am [in this photo album]. I’m happy with the way it turned out.”
The actor and singer also opened up about his ideal type during the event. “Since I am so busy with work and often overseas, I’d like a person who has a big heart and will patiently wait for me. I don’t care if she can’t cook.”
The Korean star will be embarking on an arena tour this October to meet fan requests. “Since this is a large tour, I have been preparing for this tour for five months. I want to show every one of my fans a high quality performance,” he said of his upcoming tour.
