GACKT to provide new theme song for the anime, “SKET DANCE”

GACKT
’s upcoming song “Graffiti” has just earned a tie-in with the popular anime, “SKET DANCE“!

“Graffiti” – which will be released as a single on November 30th – will be used as the opening theme song for the anime, and is said to be a fast-paced rock tune characteristic of the singer’s sound.

“SKET DANCE” is based on the popular manga of the same name, which is currently serializing in “Weekly Shounen Jump“. The story revolves around Kaimei High School’s campus support club, which goes by the English acronym “SKET”. Although the group was formed “by an act of mercy”, the club sets out to help settle student problems with all the energy they have.

GACKT appears within the anime as the voice actor for Dante, the vocalist of a visual kei band named “JardiN”. “Graffiti” will be his first ever character song.
