Perfume releases new augmented reality app
Perfume has announced through their official website that a new Perfume app — titled “PerfumeAR” — is now available for both iPhone and Android devices!
According to the update, the app will help promote the trio’s upcoming tour, “Kirin Chu-Hi Hyouketsu Presents Perfume 3rd Tour ‘JPN’“, as well as give exclusive access to tour goods and the tour website, which will open on December 23rd.
By focusing your camera on AR markers published on the tour website or in its pamphlets, users can virtually manipulate the outfits worn by Perfume in the CD jacket. Fans can turn the outfits 360 degrees, and enjoy other fun features in “PerfumeAR”, such as creating AR effects using video comments from the members and pictures from the tour pamphlet. There are also plans to include AR markers in the goods catalogs which will be distributed during performances.
