On February 5th, talento Ogura Yuko held a handshake event to commemorate the release of her first lifestyle book, “Ogura Yuko no Happy Wedding“.

Last October, Ogura got married to hair and make-up artist Kikuchi Isao, then announced the pregnancy of her first child. She’s now in her 6th month of pregnancy and she revealed, “At the hospital, they told me it was going to be a boy.” She happily added, “I’m still thinking of a name. I have time, so I’m going to think about it a lot.”

While putting her hands to her stomach, Ogura shared, “My weight is steady. But I have a really good appetite, so it’s hard to manage my health. Right now, I’ve gained 5.5 kg, but I want to keep that under 10 kg, so I want to be careful.” She then commented, “I will continue to work, but I will prioritize child rearing.”

Ogura also talked about how excited her husband is for their newborn. “He tells me that he will bathe the baby every night. I might spoil him, so I want my husband to be a little strict,” she said. “I thought I was going to have a girl, but I’m happy with a boy! I want him to become a child who will cook with me. I want him to call me mama, instead of ‘okan’ (mother in Kansai dialect) or babaa (hag).”

“Ogura Yuko no Happy Wedding” is a photo book that features behind-the-scene pictures of Ogura and Kikuchi’s wedding, along with fashion and beauty interviews with Ogura. It also contains two-shots of the couple, and pictures of the wedding party.
