It's been announced that Yoshida Akimi's popular manga "BANANA FISH", which has already been adapted as stage play before, will be getting stage adaptation once again. "BANANA FISH" is known as Yoshida's masterpiece as it has a total circulation of over 10 million copies. It tells a story of soulful friendship between a street-wise young gang leader in New York and a Japanese boy.
The protagonist "Ash Lynx" will be played by Isomura Yosuke, who belongs to Gekidan EXILE, and Takeuchi Toshi, the winner of "JUNON SUPERBOY CONTEST" grand prix, will play the Japanese boy "Okumura Eiji". Along with these two, Ishigaki Yuma, Kunisada Hiroya, and Kimura Atsushi will also appear on the stage play.
There will be over 30 cast members for the play, and they are all male, so one of the highlights of the stage will surely be the gorgeous action scenes.
"BANANA FISH" will be open during October 24th to November 4th at Rikkoukai Hall in Tokyo.
