EXILE makes surprise appearance on Sandaime JSB’s live concert
On December 9th, Sandaime J Soul Brothers (JSB) held the final day of their first nation-wide Arena tour at Saitama Super Arena.
They performed 26 songs including “Hanabi” and “Powder Snow~Eien ni Owaranai Fuyu~“, and fascinated the audience of 18,000. However, the real climax of the final day of their tour was during the encore.
During the encore, the music video of “24karats TRIBE OF GOLD” which is the collaboration song between JSB and EXILE, started showing on the big screen, and suddenly, EXILE members rose up on the center of the stage which caused the venue to rock with wild joy. Then after showing the powerful performance of “24karats TRIBE OF GOLD”, EXILE left the stage.
Because of this big surprise, there were fans who started crying. Even the leader of JSB, NAOTO said, “What just happened isn’t dream. It was amazing.” Another leader of the group, NAOKI also said, “It was an unprecedented incident. Didn’t the ceiling fly away (because of the shout of the joy by the audience)?”
Reportedly, EXILE’s surprise appearance was brought up by JSB’s performer ELLY while planning the tour’s final stage. ELLY negotiated with EXILE leader HIRO who came to inspect the rehearsal. After HIRO and fellow EXILE members readily agreed to the request, it was implemented.
At the end of the concert, the vocalist Imaichi Ryuji greeted the audience, “It feels like our tour would keep going on next week. Though it is sad the tour is ending, seven of us will continue stepping forward making this as our new start.”
For this arena tour, Sandaime J Soul Brothers made stops at 9 locations (27 stages), and about 250,000 people in total attended their tour.
