Kabuki actor, Ichikawa Ebizo, held a Kabuki performance at the Argentina theater in Rome.
Kabuki is a highly stylized classical Japanese dance-drama which started in 1603.
This is Ebizo's first performance in Rome, and it has been 14 years since a Kabuki show was last performed in Rome.
When the curtain fell, the full house audience gave him a standing ovation with big "Bravos!" On the day of the show, the president of Italy also came to watch the play, and gave Ebizo a comment, "I am so impressed."
