KOKIA & detroit7 now available on JapanFiles

Adding to their long list of artists, JapanFiles has added KOKIA and detroit7 to their roster. With a new partnership with Victor Entertainment, you can now get official releases from KOKIA online.

KOKIA is best known for her work in anime and game soundtracks such as Origin: Spirits of the Past, Karakurizōshi Ayatsuri Sakon, Red Garden, Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino, Broken Blade, Tales of Innocence, Tail Concerto, Suikoden II, Demon's Souls and Ar tonelico III.

Not only anime and games but KOKIA has contributed to Japanese TV shows and commercials. She’s also performed overseas in China, Francce, Ireland, Poland, Belgium and Germany. In Hong Kong her song “Arigatou…” was #1 and was covered by Chinese artists Sammi Cheng. In 2004 her song “Yume ga Chikara” was used for Japan at the Athens Olympic Games.

Detroit7 is an indie-rock band that was formed in 2001. This 3-piece band consists of Tomomi Nabana on vocal & guitar, Nobuaki Kotajima on bass and Miyoko yamaguchi on drums. Signed to Victor Entertainment in Japan and on Daruma in the U.S. They released their first U.S. debut album in 2007 and has just released a new album called “Black & White” which you can buy online at JapanFiles.
