Arashi just released their new album, "Boku no Miteiru Fukei", on August 4th, and received No.1 on Oricon Daily album chat, as many had already expected.� SMAP also released their new single, "This is love", on the same day, and received No.1 on Oricon Daily single chart.

Arashi's album sold 275,000 copies in one day, and it exceeded the sales of their best album, "All the BEST 1999-2009", which sold 261,000 copies on the release day.

According to jnews, people kept tweeting how crowded many CD stores were (even country side in Japan), because of Arashi and SMAP.
