Gamers get ready because Sony has developed headphones especially for you.
When it comes to games, visuals are generally focused on, but sounds are an important factor as well.
While you get some awesome settings and pictures through your TV, without surround sound or investing in a good pair of speakers, you probably wont even reach the peak of your experience. As an offset, Sony has developed a nice pair of gamer headphones.
The DR-GA500 by Sony is said to offer the best sound possible to gamers, whether they are playing on a PC or on their game console (XBox/PS3). Incorporated with 7.1CH audio andMic, with a triple enfolding design, it offers hours of comfort for the gamer.
What does that mean? It means that youll get a sound that will create 3D surround effects. It means that those tiny stealthy footsteps and those exploding grenades are going to explode in your ears. It's something that first player shooter gamers should be excited about, because as we all know, when you're playing your Halo, your sound is just as important as your visual.
If youre an RPG/MMORPG player, this means that youll have more hours of comfort and wont get distracted by anything (except the pleasant sound of bgm).
If you cant afford the headset, Sony has made a cheaper version called the DR-GA200, minus the 7.1Ch support and Mic.
Sony also mentioned a special deal starting October 15 at the GameCon in Cologne, Germany (happening right now). If you purchase one of these headsets, you will get a free copy of EAs reboot of the Medal of Honor franchise.
The headset is set to sale next month (September) and will range around the $150 area. If you buy the cheaper headset, youre probably going to pay a little less. I say why not spend the extra for that 7.1Ch and Mic? If youre a true gamer, you know money is no object. Its a way to keep you entertained.
In short, if youre a gamer, expect that your family and friends will have a harder time prying you away from your game, that or theyll probably steal it for themselves for their lovely iPods.
