A new elementary school in Higashine city in the Yamagata prefecture, is scheduled to open doors to students in April 2011. �The name of the school was originally supposed to be "Sakuranbo (=Cherry) Elementary School," since cherries are the specialty of the Yamagata prefecture.

The name was voted on and selected by citizens of the city. �However, they only recently realized that there is a problem with this name.

The problem is that, there is an anime-porno site named, "Sakuranbo Elementary School".

After the news came out, 93 emails were sent to the city hall, saying they are not comfortable with the name. �Therefore, the mayor of Higashine city has decided to change the name of the elementary school, even though the school song for "Sakuranbo Elementary school" had already been made.

If only they found out a little later, that certainly would've been an interesting site sight to see.
