Drama adaptation of "Saijou no Meii" to air in January

Hashiguchi Takashi’s original manga, "Saijou no Meii", is set to be adapted into a television drama that will start airing in January of next year, every Monday at 10 PM on TV Tokyo.

"Saijou no Meii" follows the story of a young genius surgeon named Saijou Mikoto who was born with a bad heart, however, since he was under the care of the leading Japanese heart surgeon, Shindou Mamoru, he survived his illness. In return, Saijou himself became a surgeon, and in the process, eventually became the greatest pediatric surgeon in the world. It's mainly a story that revolves around themes of how precious life can be.

This manga was serialized on Shunkan Shounen Sunday (Shogakukan), and has a sequel titled "Saijou no Meii ~The King of Neet", which is still ongoing.
