"Kokou no Mesu", which stars the talented actor,�Tsutsumi Shinichi, won the Best Foreign Film Award at the 19th China Golden Rooster & Hundred Flowers Film Festival on October 16th. �The festival is one of the three biggest in China, and this is the second time that a Japanese movie has won the award, the other being "Okuribito" in 2008.
On the win, Tsutsumi commented, "I'm very happy that this movie touched a chord with people in China."
"Kokou no Mesu" was released in June in Japan, and it will be released on DVD on December 3rd.
