Sawajiri Erika has managed to make it into the news yet again.

For quite some time now, a number of news sites have been reporting that the Queen of Controversy has gone into hiding for several weeks. It was also claimed that even her mother, Lila, didn�t know where her daughter went. However, Lila already spoke up and revealed that her daughter has been in bad shape, and that Sawajiri Erika is hospitalized, not hiding.

This statement was revealed through an intercom at their apartment in Tokyo. �It had previously been reported that Sawajiri was indeed suffering from health problems, at least to the point that she had to cancel, on a short notice, a PR event due to fever.When asked about the whereabouts of Erika, Lila just said that she is now taking a break at a quiet place to recuperate. Lila further commented that her daughter must be really tired right now, and she has caught a cold four times within the last six months. Lila reassured everyone that Erika will be able to come back once her condition is better.

Still though, even if she gets better physically, a major headache might still be coming her way, because her contract with AVEX might be taken back or nullified. We previously reported here on tokyohive that the talks between Sawajiri and AVEX were in the works. However, due to her absence, and some undesirable acts such as cancelling the PR event mentioned above, it might even be considered a �de facto� retirement.
