On December 29th, singer Wada Akiko became involved in a car accident while heading for the "Kohaku Uta Gassen" rehearsals.

According to Sanspo, Wada's car stopped at a traffic light, but a car collided with hers from behind. Wada sustained injuries to her neck and waist area, and her driver and the manager received minor injuries as well.

Despite her injuries, Wada attended the rehearsal and participated in an interview without showing her pain. However afterwards, she was transported to the hospital by�ambulance. Wada was�diagnosed with a cervical sprain and lumbar contusions, which will take approximately 10 days to recover from.

Regardless of her injuries, Wada is determined to show her professionalism by continuing to attend Kohaku as planned.
