Last year's JUNON Super Boy Contest winner Katoono Taiko will be making his debut in the entertainment industry this month.

Katoono will be appearing on the cover of the reggae compilation album "Tokyo RAGGA LOVERS 2", which goes on sale March 30th, along with popular model Hirose Mai.

The JUNON Super Boy Contest is an annual talent scouting competition for boys 13 to 22 years of age. It's been hosted every year by JUNON magazine since 1988. Notable past winners include actors Mizobata Junpei, Nakamura Aoi, Hiraoka Yuta, and WaT's Koike Teppei. Yamamoto Yusuke, Miura Shohei, and Ito Hideaki have also participated in the contest.

17-year-old Katoono has received offers from around 40 entertainment agencies since winning the contest last November. He will be deciding on an agency soon and moving to Tokyo when he graduates from high school this month.

Katoono says his goal is to "become an actor with a long career."
