Fast Retailing owns the casual clothing companies �UNIQLO� and �g.u.�. The company has enjoyed a lot of success and has chosen to donate money to the regions hardest hit by the earthquake: Miyagi, Iwate, Fukushima, Aomori and Ibaraki.
Fast Retailing has donated 300 million yen ($3.6 million USD) to disaster relief for the Tohoku Pacific Ocean earthquake and an additional 100 million yen ($1.2 million USD) was tallied from donations from their employees all over the world.
What�s more amazing is that the company�s CEO Yanai Tadashi has personally donated one billion yen (12.2 million USD) to the disaster relief.
Adding it all up, this corporation has donated 1.4 billion yen ($17.1 million USD) to the Red Cross of Japan.
The company will also be donating support goods. They will be donating 300,000 �HeatTech� undergarments that protect people from the cold as well as jeans and towels. All of these items �are worth 700 million yen (8.6 million USD) in total.
