Gundam designer tweets picture to cheer up earthquake victims

allkpop

Okawa Kunio, a mechanical designer who designed the mecha for the Gundam franchise, recently tweeted a picture of a Gundam machine to cheer up earthquake victims.

The picture shows a Gundam holding the Japanese flag with the words "Ganbare Nippon" (translates to "Do your best, Japan!") underneath. Okawa also included the comment, "Today, I am wishing well to the victims of the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear explosions. Thank you to the people who are involved with the relief, and the people in the Japan Self-Defense Corps. Do your best, Japan. Do your best, Japan."

Okawa is continuing the trend of artists releasing artwork to encourage victims of the disaster, which we reported about previouslyhere and here. Many followers have left appreciative comments on Twitter in response to Okawa's art.
