Nakada Yuji, the vocalist/guitarist of the disbanded rock band Tsubakiya Shijuusou (aka Tsubakiya Quartette), has dedicated a song called "Hikari no Machi" to earthquake victims.

Nakada felt connected to the disaster because Tsubakiya Shijuusou was formed in Sendai, one of the heavily-hit areas in the current disaster.

He commented, "[I] felt [I] just had to do something as an individual, so I went to to the studio quickly and wrote the song. I thought about my home and put all my thoughts in one recording. I hope this song can provide even a little hope to people in the disaster sites. I'm sorry I can only do this much. I know that everyone must be in a really tough situation, but please don't give up! Live, live and share happiness again!"

The band's former drummer Kodera Ryota and support guitarist Tejima Daisuke were also involved in making the track. The Radio airing of "Hikari no Machi" has already been decided, and details are being worked out on if the song will receive an official release.
