On March 21st, SMAP sent out encouraging messages to the disaster victims on Fuji TV's "SMAPxSMAP".
The show air from the Odaiba studio live, with the theme "What can we do right now?" The five members conveyed their listeners voices, as well as communicating their thoughts and cheering for the disaster victims. It is said that their entire appearance fee for this day will be donated to relief efforts. Although the exact amount hasn't been revealed, it's believed to be in the range of around 10 million yen (about $120,000 USD) or more.
