goo/NTT DoCoMo recently released the results of their mobile poll that asked users about their favorite morning heroine.

The morning dramas�on NHK are�a formidable part of the�Japanese entertainment world, and many of today's famous actresses had their big breakthroughs (or at least experienced a huge boost in popularity) because they starred in these dramas. The stories always feature a strong woman of some sort as the heroine, which usually is a great opportunity to shine for any actress.

The first morning drama aired in 1961, but including all of their heroines would turn the poll into quite a mess. Therefore, the mobile portal decided just to include the heroines from the past two decades, split into two separate polls.
