In 2010, the movie "RAILWAYS" opened in Japanese cinemas and turned into a decent hit at the box office. Now it has been announced that we are going to see a series of movies dealing with similar stories about trains, with the next one opening as early as December this year.

The first movie was about a middle-aged man, played by Nakai Kiichi, who quit his job at his office in Tokyo in order to become a train driver for a small railway company.

In the second movie,�Miura Tomokazu is going to play the leading role of a man who has worked for Toyama Chiho Railway for 42 years of his life and is now one month away from his retirement. Yo Kimiko will play his supporting wife who wants to find a new direction in life now that he is going to retire. Miura and Yo already acted as a husband and wife before.

The rest of the cast is made up by Koike Eiko, who plays their daughter, Nakao Akiyoshi, and Yoshiyuki Kazuko.

Yo commented, "I already had a wedding with Miura in a movie before, but this time it was fun to play as a longtime married couple with him."

Miura also is glad to be working together with Yo again, "I was anxiously looking forward for another chance to work together with her again. I'll try my best not to damage the beauty of the previous 'RAILWAYS'."

The filming already started in March and is scheduled to come to an end later this month. �"RAILWAYS 2" will open in Japan in December 2011.
