America's newest Asian/anime convention, 'AM2', has just announced of its first musical guests of honor. Visual Kei band heidi. (read as 'haiji') will make their U.S. debut at AM2's concert this summer.

heidi. came together back in February 2006, and is comprised of members from other popular (although disbanded) rock bands. The members are Yoshihiko (ex-Sics) on vocals, Nao on guitar,�Kousuke on bass (ex-Karimero), and kiri (ex-kannivalism) on drums.

The band recently did a collaboration with fashion icon h.NAOTO by holding a joint event at the LaFore in Harajuku.�Fans will be able to see a�Sixh.xheidi. collaboration at AM2, as sub-brand Sixh. will also be at AM2 as Guests of Honor. Joining them is the designer behind Hangry & Angry, part of the h.NAOTO brand, Gashicon. Fans might even be able to purchase the "MINT neko x heidi." T-shirts and parkas at the convention.

AM2 will be held in Anaheim, CA at the Anaheim Convention Center during the 4th of July weekend, the same time as veteran anime convention,�Anime Expo. It will be interesting to see who can entice the most fans to their convention, as both Southern California conventions will compete for anime and music fans.

'AM2' is a free event, so no tickets or badges will need to be purchased for entry. The convention will have an exhibit hall, cosplay events, masquerade, summer festival, artist alley, workshop and panels, dances, concerts, and more.
