allkpop

Boy band w-inds celebrated their 10th anniversary at the Tokyo Budokan on April 28th!

The concert was titled, "w-inds 10th Anniversary ~Three Fourteen~", and brought in a total of 13,000 fans. The members thanked their fans by saying, "We were able to make it this far thanks to all your support. 10 years ago we never imagined standing on a stage like this."

March 14th is the actual debut date of w-inds, and they originally had planned to have their anniversary concert on March 14th, but due to the unfortunate tragedies in the Tohoku region, the concert was postponed.

For this concert, the boys used LED lights and several generators to conserve electricity. In the end, they managed to pull of their concert with 1/5 of the electrical power they originally needed prior to the disaster. They showed that they were doing what they can to help with thesituation.Chiba Ryohei commented, "Right now alot of things are tough and hard. Let's keep going and not lose. We can't lose!" With that note, w-inds announced that they would donate a portion of the ticket sales to earthquake and tsunami relief.

During the concert, Tachibana Keita commented, "With my voice changing there were times when it was really hard to sing. I'm thankful to be able to sing again thanks to all of your support! We'd like to sing nostalgic songs because this is our 10th anniversary concert!" They sang a total of 18 songs; some such as "Forever Memories" and "To my fans".Ogata Ryuichi made a special announcement to the fans, saying, "Our best album will go on sale on June 22nd. On top of that we'll be doing a summer tour!" It was a very nice surprise to all the fans attending.

Throughout the whole concert, the boys continued to extend their gratitude for 10 years of undying support. They finished their 10th anniversary concert with "Thank You" and left the stage.
