Singer/talent Wakatsuki Chinatsu reported on April 4th that her clothing brand, "WC", would be donating a total of 37 million yen (~$440,000 USD) to disaster sites through the Japanese Red Cross Society.
Wakatsuki founded and currently designs for "WC", which launched a charity T-shirt campaign on March 18th, following the Great Tohoku Earthquake. The talent reported on her blog that over 13 days, the charity T-shirt generated a revenue totaling 27 million yen.
The entire proceeds, plus 10 million yen of the brand's own money, will be donated to support disaster relief. In addition, Wakatsuki revealed that "WC" will be using 1% of its yearly profits every year for philanthropic activities.
