AKB48 research students Yamaguchi Nau and Ushikubo Sara have announced that they will officially be leaving the group in June.

According to AKB48's official blog, both girls voluntarily put in requests to withdraw; they have yet to publicly reveal why they've decided to leave the idol group. The girls will also be removed from the upcoming general election.

Yamaguchi and Ushikubo's last performance with AKB48 will be on June 19th.
