It was announced last month that popular comedy manga, "Arakawa Under the Bridge", would be made into a live-action series and movie. Additional cast members have now been revealed, who includeTezuka Toru, Hiranuma Norihisa (Gekidan EXILE), Arisaka Kurume, Tokunaga Eri, Suruga Taro, Sueoka Takuto, and Masahiko Raito.
They'll be joining actorsHayato Kento (as "Ichinomiya Kou/Riku")and Kiritani Mirei (as "Nino"), as well as Shirota Yu, Katase Nana, and Abe Natsumi.
Hiramuna Norihisa - who is playing the role of "Billy" - said that he's a huge fan of the manga and is excited to be a part of the series. He's particularly excited about his character "Billy", who's a man of few words but remains a man among men.
Shirota Yu,who's to play "Sister", confessed that he honestly believed that it would be impossible for Tokunaga Eri (who plays "Stella") to portray a 7-year-old with a Hiroshima accent, but thanks to the directors and staff, they managed to create a new "Stella".
Yu also said that the photoshoot set looked like a convention because they were all meeting in their costumes. Arisaka Kurume - who plays Billy's girlfriend "Jacqueline" - agreed and said that she laughed so hard every time they got together. Still, she praised that it's a wonderful team and that as a result, it's a great film.
As for the remaining cast,Tezuka Toru will play "Shiro", a middle-aged man who has an obsession with stepping on a white line. Suruga Taro will play the "Last Samurai", an ex-hottie that was once a beautiful hairdresser. Finally,Sueoka Takuto and Masahiko Raito will play the "Testsujin Brothers", who wear metal helmets on their heads and are self-proclaimed espers.
