"Detective Conan" managed to outsell "GANTZ PERFECT ANSWER" at the box office thanks to increased sales of 20% compared to the previous weekend. �Despite a strong following among young people, it simply was too tough for "GANTZ PERFECT ANSWER" to compete against the popular anime and the hordes of families that decided to watch it during the Golden Week weekend.

On top of that, Sunday was even a "Movie Service Day", with the majority of movie theaters selling tickets for only half the usual amount. No parents could argue with their children if the movie tickets were that cheap!

Of course, this doesn't mean that the second "GANTZ" movie failed to attract any viewers at all, as it already broke through the one-million-viewers mark and earned more than 1.3 billion Yen (16 million USD) in just nine days.

"Crayon Shin-chan" improved as much as "Detective Conan" did and experienced an increase of 22%.

The two new movies that manged to enter the top 10 this weekend were "Youkame no Semi", starring Inoue Mao and Nagasaku Hiromi, in the fifth place spot with a revenue of 155,570,900 Yen (1.92 million USD) - 221,254,00 Yen (2.73 million USD) together with Friday - and the 3D anime, "Tofu Kozo". �Several big actors dubbed the anime, including Fukada Kyoko (main character), Koike Teppei, Takeda Tetsuya, Dan Rei, Matsudaira Ken, and more.
