To celebrate their 30th anniversary together, female pop-punk band Shonen Knife will be releasing a special cover album this summer!
The album is titled "Osaka Ramones", and as indicated by the title, it's a tribute piece to the popular band, the Ramones. The band opened for the Ramones during their Japanese tour, and have also performed as a Ramones tribute band called The Osaka Ramones in the past. With the album scheduled to drop on July 20th, it's a fun way to celebrate the thirty years the band has been together.
Further details about the cover album are currently not available, but it's been revealed that "Osaka Ramones" is the only the first of two things planned for the band's anniversary.
Shonen Knife has also announced that they will be going on a European tour this year, which will include stops in Ireland and the UK. No official schedule has been confirmed at this time, but European fans can check Shonen Knife's website for news on their upcoming tour.
Stay tuned for more on this release!
