SKE48 members Matsui Jurina and Yamada Erika will both be taking a break from their activities due to poor health.

According to SKE48's management's blog, Matsui will be resting for approximately three days due to a bad cold. In the past month, she's been busy with concerts, drama filming, and theatre performances and the fatigue seems to have caused her cold. Although Matsui was determined to continue with work, she was dissuaded by her doctor, mother, and staff.

Yamada, on the other hand, will be taking an extended break due to a herniated spinal disc. She had been suffering from back pain for a while, and she underwent surgery so that she could dance again. After a two-day hospital stay, she is now back at home resting. The earliest she is expected to be back is in July.

Thank you for encouraging me all the time.

After being diagnosed with a herniated disc by a hospital doctor, I have been taking medicine to suppress the pain while dancing. Because the medicine has stopped being as effective, and because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to dance again, I decided to undergo surgery.

And today, I was able to leave the hospital!

I will be working hard at rehabilitation so that I can dance in front of everyone quickly.

I'm sorry for worrying everyone, but I hope you can wait until Yamada Erika can come back.
