Previously, tokyohive reported that a new Gundam anime series will begin airing on television in October. Today, Bandai announced that they will be starting another anime project, �Mobile Suit Gundam: THE ORIGIN�. This was formally announced on official Gundam Portal powered by Bandai and the August issue of �Monthly Gundam Ace�.

This "Mobile Suit Gundam: THE ORIGIN" was a manga adaptation of TV anime series "Mobile Suit Gundam", written and illustrated by Yasuhiko Yoshikazu who is the character designer of the original series. It was serialized�on the Monthly Gundam Ace ever since its very first issue, and it was ended on this August issue of �Gundam Ace� that is approaching their 10th anniversary. The details of the anime are yet to be unveiled but the magazine did publish comments of Yasuhiko�regarding this project.

He states, �The origin of Gundam should not be just one of many Gundam series.� With confidence, he continued, �I�m sure that by getting anime �adaptation, �THE ORIGIN� series that I created will be the new standard.�
