Starting on the 12th, the �2011 Shanghai � Japan Movie Week� took place in Shanghai, China to introduce 11 of Japan�s hit movies to the nation. The following 11 movies will be shown throughout the week: Byakuyako (Into the White Night), Akunin, Kaabee (KABEI � Our Mother), Saigo no Chushingura (THE LAST RONIN), Runway Beat, Okan no Yomeiri, Kondo wa Aisaika, Kinako, BECK, HANAMIZUKI, Inu to Anata no Monogatari.

Tsumabuki Satoshi of �Akunin� and director Lee Sang-il were invited as guests. Tsumabuki has a lot of popularity in Shanghai, as more than 100 Chinese fans were crowding around the area of the venue for him. Tsumabuki said, �I didn�t think that this many people would know about me. I�m a bit confused,� causing his fans to cheer loudly.

Tsumabuki called out, �I want the people of China to experience real Japanese movies�. He emphasized a desire to work with China to create new movies, �I�m thinking that as one Asia, we can create even bigger things�.
