AKB48 is known for their three teams of 16 members each: Team A, Team K and Team B. The group hosts many research students who have been promoted, but unfortunately, couldn't find room on a team. Today, we've finally found out where the rootless talents will be going - AKB48 is going to start up a fourth team aptly called 'Team 4'!

Starting today, all 10 promoted research students will now be part of Team 4. Six research students up to the 12 generation will be filling in the necessary spots to allow the members to perform as a "team".

We're definitely curious as to how this fresh unit will grow!
