On July 26th, an accident occurred during AKB48 - Team K's performance at the Seibu Dome (according to the source but other sources state it was their theater performance), resulting in an injury for member�Fujie Reina. She was immediately examined by a physician, and later reassured her fans through her blog that, "I'm okay."

The accident occurred while the girls were singing their first song. When the song started, Minegishi Minami's microphone hit Fujie's face while they were dancing. The performance continued without Fujie, and a post was created on AKB48's blog titled, "Regarding Fujie Reina". The post stated, "Fujie Reina was injured on stage, and was not able to perform today. We apologize for troubling and worrying everyone."

Regarding the injury, Fujie wrote on her own blog, "Everyone, I'm sorry to have worried you." Reportedly, the microphone came in contact with her eye while they were dancing, and cut the inside of her eyelid, but "there were no needs for stitches, and there weren't any defects in the eye." She also wrote, "But it seems the swelling will remain... It will take about a month for it to recover completely." Fujie uploaded a photo of herself on her blog, and fortunately the injury wasn't that noticeable.

Meanwhile, Minegishi also reported the incident on her official blog. She addressed, "Rei-nyan wasn't able to perform with us til the end. I'm sorry to those who looked forward to watching all 16 of us perform."

The next day, Fujie updated her blog saying that she was going to Hong Kong. She wrote, "The truth is, because of the injury, I was told not to go. When I told them that I really wanted to go, they told me it would be okay if I got the doctor's approval."
