AKB48's Itano Tomomi released her second single "Fui ni" on July 13th and today's Weekly Oricon Chart revealed that it snatched first place with 90,000 copies sold in its first week.
Itano is the second solo-artist out of AKB48 to top the Oricon chart after Maeda Atsuko with "FLOWER" in the July 4th ranking of Oricon.
Furthermore, "Fui ni" is currently being used as the theme song for the "Samantha Thavasa" commercials.
Itano's first single, "Dear J", sold more copies during its first week, but didn't manage to take first place when it was released back in January.
