Vocalist akko's solo project, My Little Lover, will provide her new song as the theme to the upcoming drama, "Last Money ~Ai no Nedan~"!

The song is titled "Hikoukigumo", and it will be the title track of her new single, which drops on October 12th. "Hikoukigumo" was written, composed, and arranged entirely by producer Kobayashi Takeshi, his first in nearly seven years.

As tokyohive previously reported, the suspenseful drama revolves around murders committed for insurance money. Actor Ito Hideaki will play main character 'Mukoujima Sakutaro', an assessor at a life insurance company who finds himself struggling against the injustice of crimes committed for an insurance payout.

Although the subject matter seems far removed from the March 11th tragedy in Japan, akko also had a few words to say about the song in relation to her own experience. "After the earthquake, I didn't know what I could believe in," she confided. "But afterwards, I (was able to have) hope once more and couldn't help but believe in something. We put that feeling of finally being oneself into this work."

The drama begins airing on September 13th.
